Sonia Lakhanpal, PA-C

Sonia Lakhanpal is a physician assistant in the UC San Diego Division of Hospital Medicine. She graduated with a master's degree in PA Studies from Central Michigan University, and she obtained her undergraduate degree in biology from Michigan State University.

Sonia also completed a residency in general surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, she volunteered at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, in the Emergency Department and also in migrant health clinics, translating Spanish for the physicians and their patients.
